About the Role

Disruptive Digital is a boutique agency based in New York that specializes in serving online businesses in hyper growth mode, as well as more traditional businesses which have the desire to build out their direct to consumer/online sales offering. Founded by former long-time Facebook employees, they've taken the many learnings gained from partnering with the leading eCommerce businesses in the US and applied these to their agency clients to accelerate success with Facebook, Instagram and other paid social channels. The creative strategist for paid social and performance marketing is the bridge between the creative team and the media buyers, contributing to the overall growth of clients' businesses through creative execution and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Look at data and previous ad performance to spark new ideas, new messaging, and new hypotheses to test in future ads.
  • Find insights on existing ads and monitor ad account trends to drive ideation and make creative decisions.
  • Perform competitive analysis to see what other competitors are doing and come up with new ideas for testing.
  • Build on your analysis by learning to speak the language of potential buyers and finding ideas from a customer-first perspective.
  • Bring ad data, client information, customer pain points and competitor insights together to create new testing hypotheses.
  • Find new customer pain points with competitor research.
  • Build creative briefs that speak specifically to brand goals, KPIs, and the messaging style of ads.
  • Outline hooks, demos and features to include in ads and outline what creative should look like in a final output.
  • Work with media buyers to debrief on ad performance and pinpoint future ideation and strategy.
  • Project manage all creative needs to keep everyone on-task, on-time and fully in possession of what they need to do great work.
  • Stay on top of industry trends in eCommerce and paid social advertising.
  • Strategize with sales teams for effective launches to new customer campaigns.
  • Recruit creators that align to a client's brand brief and needs.
  • Build new storyboards and scripts that help drive sales for clients leveraging both important speaking points and visuals.
  • Clearly communicate to designers how to successfully execute on creative briefs and bring the vision to life.
  • Edit and/or work with editing teams to create multiple ad variations for testing, including scene sequencing and post-production overlays.
  • Develop new concepts for ads in post-production including static and visual creative opportunities.
  • Help clients develop new ideas for studio shoots that perform well on paid social.

Requirements

  • Portfolio of paid social creative you have developed or led the strategy on.
  • Experience with creative optimization, creative strategy and social best practices, preferably with performance-focused businesses like ecommerce brands.
  • Experience developing creator shot/user generated content style ads focused on driving performance on paid channels like Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
  • Advised clients on creative execution and consulted on creative direction.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Paid Social Advertising, ideally with Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and articulately and speak at a strategic level.
  • Detail-oriented and a self-starter who craves responsibility.
  • Excellent end-to-end project management capabilities from insight to execution.
  • Ability to make decisions based on analysis and data, including from ad platforms like Facebook Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to commute to the NYC office 2-4 days per week.

  • Associate's degree (Required)
  • Creative Strategy: 3 years (Required)
  • Meta advertising creative: 3 years (Required)
  • Language: English (Required)
