Customer Marketing Strategy and Innovation Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage 1-2 Customer Marketing professionals to create a best-in-class approach to innovation around retention initiatives.
• Develop a deep understanding of FanDuel's business, competitive positioning, and the sports wagering landscape to inform recommendations.
• Structure and lead customer marketing innovation by unlocking opportunities across retention-focused projects.
• Approach projects effectively by collecting and defining work requirements and maintaining a continuous feedback loop amongst stakeholders.
• Champion step-changes in personalizing customer journeys at scale.
• Lead the systematic creation and execution of testing plans, and ensure results are shared and implemented.
• Become a systems expert, cultivating extensive knowledge of the marketing technology stack (Braze, Knime, Customer Data Platform) and data sources.
• Oversee the creation of documentation for owned projects to facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Help recruit and identify top talent while creating an inspiring environment for direct reports to learn and grow.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience working in an innovation / transformation capacity.
• 2+ years experience in managing or mentoring people.
• Experience with creating and managing marketing campaigns from start to finish preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and effective at project management.
• Familiarity with Email Service Providers (preferably Braze and Movable Ink) and Customer Data Platform Technologies (e.g., Segment, mParticle, Tealium).
• Strong understanding of Customer Marketing platform metrics.
• Comfortable with querying and logic (SQL knowledge a plus).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
• An avid sports and gaming fan, and have played FanDuel or competitive products.
• Knowledge of sports and/or experience working within a heavily regulated industry is a plus.
