About the Role

The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Deputy Digital Director to support its digital communication efforts. The role involves working closely with the Digital Director to oversee and improve the department's digital presence across social media platforms, websites, and other outlets. This position offers an opportunity to create multimedia content, manage the department's website, and contribute to its podcast, making a positive impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities

Support the department's digital communication efforts across various social media platforms, websites, and other outlets.
Shoot and edit videos, as well as create other visual content for online use.
Update and enhance the department's public website to ensure it remains relevant, visually appealing, and user-friendly.
Edit and update the website to meet accessibility standards.
Manage the department's podcast by scheduling guests, editing episodes, writing descriptions, and creating teasers on a monthly basis.

Requirements

Two years of professional communications experience and a bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA.
Ability to perform essential job functions.
Must pass a background investigation and meet CJIS compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
