About the Role

The Designer, Social Media at JetBlue Airways Corporation is responsible for conceptualizing and designing creative assets including static, animation, and video content that support JetBlue's social media strategy. The role involves working closely with the social media team and other departments within marketing, brand, customer service, and corporate communications to create content that aligns with company goals and maintains brand consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design on-brand and channel-specific content assets (static, animated, and video) for social media channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, and TikTok.
  • Work closely with social media content creators on storyboards, content capture, graphic treatments, and final assets for videos.
  • Develop and maintain social media-specific visual and design guidelines in coordination with the brand team to ensure consistency with company-wide brand and visual identity standards.
  • Ensure all posts meet brand and social visual guidelines and align with JetBlue's overall brand identity and social trends.
  • Participate actively in social media team meetings, content ideation sessions, and content capture.
  • Manage projects and timelines to ensure timely completion of social media content.
  • Maintain knowledge of current social media, digital design trends, and in-platform features and visual functionalities.
  • Support other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design or a related field; or a High School Diploma/GED with at least four (4) years of relevant work experience.
  • Three (3) years of design experience in a corporate marketing environment with social media design experience.
  • Design portfolio showcasing graphic design skills related to social media or consumer marketing.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, video editing tools (e.g., CapCut), and social media platforms including in-channel functionality and scheduling tools.
  • Understanding of current social media platforms, features, and design norms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently or in a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.
  • Availability for occasional overnight travel (20%) and flexible hours.
  • Must possess a valid Passport and be able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be legally eligible to work in the US.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with social media content creation for a large company in travel or hospitality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
