DIGITAL COMMERCE DIRECTOR

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Embody the principles of the company's mission and values, acting as a servant leader and fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
• Work with the Technology Department to ensure optimal hosting, management solutions, security protocols, and future growth planning.
• Oversee day-to-day functions and growth of the e-commerce site, including updating product descriptions and inventories.
• Research and brainstorm new ideas and procedures with relevant teams and departments.
• Coordinate digital marketing initiatives to support overall sales and marketing strategies.
• Manage e-mail marketing campaigns, including follow-up reporting and best practices suggestions.
• Coordinate future design updates for the e-commerce site, including design and functionality improvements.
• Participate in cross-departmental groups to achieve company goals.
• Attend trade shows and company events to provide support and expertise.
• Conduct ongoing research and analysis of competitor websites and e-commerce practices.
• Demonstrate commitment to environmental health and safety principles, providing support and training to team members.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 5-10 years of experience managing websites and leading teams, or equivalent education and experience.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience building and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of internet best practices and their impact on SEO.
• Experience managing and directing website technical structure, design, content, navigation, branding, performance, and functionality.
• Expertise in backend website development and ability to specify technical changes.
• In-depth understanding of search engine optimization, search engine ranking factors, and PPC management.
• Experience with backlinking campaigns and CMS platforms impacting SEO.
• Ability to analyze search data, metrics, and campaign performance to identify growth opportunities.
• Outstanding customer service and internal networking skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead remote teams.
• Strong decision-making, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with working around machinery, noise, chemicals, lights/lasers, and wearing Personal Protection Equipment.

Qualifications

• Educational background in a related field or equivalent experience.
