About the Role

The Digital Marketing Consultant (Sales) role is based in the San Diego area, requiring the individual to work remotely from a home office while making both tech-based and in-person sales calls with local business owners. The position involves leading sales efforts focused on digital platforms, collaborating with clients to provide advertising and marketing solutions, and helping businesses enhance their online presence through various digital strategies. The role demands a personable, energetic, strategic, and entrepreneurial individual capable of managing client relationships and driving sales in a dynamic digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and enhance clients' online presence through website development, SEO, local listings, and reputation management on social media platforms.
  • Generate awareness and leads via search engine marketing, social media engagement, display advertising, video content, and mobile advertising.
  • Grow audience engagement through brand content solutions and social media marketing.
  • Manage leads and customers efficiently using lead alert systems, engagement tools, and tracking mechanisms.
  • Analyze campaign effectiveness using reporting tools, mobile applications, and insights from emerging technologies like Virtual and Augmented Reality.
  • Utilize the best marketing services and solutions to deliver results for clients.
  • Foster partnerships with local businesses and develop tailored marketing plans and media solutions.
  • Identify customer needs and develop account plans and client solutions that differentiate our services.
  • Assist businesses in optimizing their online presence through digital and print marketing strategies.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies across multiple platforms, including digital media, mobile, publications, and traditional newspapers.
  • Actively pursue and secure new business and revenue streams.
  • Retain, manage, and expand the client base in the digital landscape.
  • Collaborate within a team to manage client relationships and increase account revenue.
  • Present our product suite effectively to business decision-makers.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers via phone, video conferencing, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Conduct face-to-face customer meetings, presentations, proposals, and demonstrations.
  • Manage a sales pipeline and devise strategies for long-term success.
  • Conduct regular client check-ins, upsell/cross-sell accounts, and address client concerns.
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) effectively, recording all sales activities accurately.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Digital Marketing (Google AdWords, Analytics certifications preferred but not required).
  • 5+ years of experience in high acquisition, consultative B2B sales roles.
  • A problem solver who can simplify complex issues and thrive on challenges.
  • Possesses a competitive nature and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and minimum liability insurance as required by law.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications in Google AdWords and Analytics are preferred but not required.
