About the Role

The Digital Marketing Consultant (Sales) role is based in the San Diego area, with a remote work environment that involves both virtual and in-person sales calls with local business owners. The position requires a personable, strategic, and entrepreneurial individual to lead digital marketing sales efforts, collaborate with clients on advertising solutions, and help businesses enhance their online presence through various digital and print marketing strategies. The role offers opportunities to utilize regional marketing services, develop tailored account plans, and expand client relationships in a dynamic digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to provide advertising and marketing solutions, including website development, SEO, social media management, and reputation management.
  • Generate awareness and leads through search engine marketing, social media engagement, display advertising, video content, and mobile advertising.
  • Manage leads and customer relationships using lead alert systems, engagement tools, and tracking mechanisms.
  • Analyze campaign effectiveness using reporting tools, mobile applications, and emerging technologies like Virtual and Augmented Reality.
  • Identify customer needs and develop tailored account plans and client solutions that differentiate our services.
  • Assist businesses in optimizing their online presence through personalized digital and print marketing strategies.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies across multiple platforms, including digital media, mobile, niche publications, and traditional newspapers.
  • Actively pursue and secure new business and revenue streams.
  • Retain, manage, and expand the client base within the digital landscape.
  • Collaborate within a team to manage client relationships and increase account revenue.
  • Present our product suite effectively to business decision-makers.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers via phone, video conferencing, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Conduct face-to-face customer meetings, presentations, proposals, and demonstrations.
  • Manage a sales pipeline and devise strategies for long-term success.
  • Conduct regular client check-ins, upsell/cross-sell accounts, and address client concerns.
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) effectively, recording all sales activities accurately.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Digital Marketing, with certifications in Google AdWords and Analytics preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of experience in high acquisition, consultative B2B sales roles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex issues.
  • Competitive nature combined with a collaborative team spirit.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and minimum liability insurance as required by law.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications in Google AdWords and Analytics.
