About the Role

The Digital Marketing Consultant (Sales) role is based in the San Diego area, with a remote work environment that involves both virtual and in-person sales calls with local business owners. The position requires a personable, strategic, and entrepreneurial individual who will lead sales efforts focused on digital platforms, collaborating with clients to provide advertising and marketing solutions that enhance their online presence and generate leads. The role involves utilizing various marketing channels, analyzing campaign effectiveness, and fostering local business partnerships to achieve marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and enhance clients' online presence through website development, SEO, local listings, and reputation management on social media platforms.
  • Generate awareness and leads via search engine marketing, social media engagement, display advertising, video content, and mobile advertising.
  • Grow audience engagement through brand content solutions and social media marketing.
  • Manage leads and customers using lead alert systems, engagement tools, and tracking mechanisms.
  • Analyze campaign effectiveness with reporting tools, mobile applications, and emerging technologies like Virtual and Augmented Reality.
  • Utilize the best marketing services and solutions to deliver results for clients.
  • Develop and implement tailored account plans and client solutions to differentiate services.
  • Assist businesses in optimizing their online presence through digital and print marketing strategies.
  • Identify market potential, develop sales strategies across multiple platforms, and actively pursue new business opportunities.
  • Retain, manage, and expand the client base in the digital landscape.
  • Collaborate within a team to manage client relationships and increase account revenue.
  • Present product offerings effectively to business decision-makers.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients via phone, video conferencing, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings, presentations, proposals, and demonstrations.
  • Manage a sales pipeline and devise strategies for long-term success.
  • Perform regular client check-ins, upsell/cross-sell, and address client concerns.
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) effectively, recording all sales activities accurately.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Digital Marketing (Google AdWords, Analytics certifications preferred but not required).
  • 5+ years of experience in high acquisition, consultative B2B sales roles.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex issues.
  • Competitive nature combined with a collaborative team spirit.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and minimum liability insurance as required by law.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications in Google AdWords and Analytics (preferred but not required).
