About the Role

This role requires a highly personable, intelligent individual with the ability to lead sales efforts focused on digital platforms while maintaining an energetic, strategic, and entrepreneurial spirit. The position involves full cycle sales, prospecting and closing new clients, and collaborating with them to provide a diverse set of advertising and marketing solutions. The work environment is remote, based in the Washington DC, Baltimore, or Philadelphia region, with both tech-based and in-person sales calls with local business owners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and close new clients through full cycle sales efforts.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide advertising and marketing solutions including website development, SEO, social media management, and reputation management.
  • Generate awareness and leads via search engine marketing, social media engagement, display advertising, video content, and mobile advertising.
  • Grow audience engagement through brand content solutions and social media marketing.
  • Manage leads and customer relationships using lead alert systems, engagement tools, and tracking mechanisms.
  • Analyze campaign effectiveness using reporting tools, mobile applications, and emerging technologies like Virtual and Augmented Reality.
  • Identify customer needs and develop tailored account plans and client solutions.
  • Assist businesses in optimizing their online presence through digital and print marketing strategies.
  • Identify market potential and develop sales strategies across multiple platforms including digital media, mobile, niche publications, and traditional newspapers.
  • Actively pursue and secure new business and revenue streams.
  • Retain, manage, and expand the client base in the digital landscape.
  • Collaborate within a team to manage client relationships and increase account revenue.
  • Present product suite effectively to business decision-makers.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers via phone, video conferencing, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Conduct face-to-face customer meetings, presentations, proposals, and demonstrations.
  • Manage a sales pipeline and devise strategies for long-term success.
  • Conduct regular client check-ins, upsell/cross-sell accounts, and address client concerns.
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) effectively, recording all sales activities accurately.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Digital Marketing (Google AdWords, Analytics certifications preferred but not required).
  • 5+ years of experience in high acquisition, consultative B2B sales roles.
  • Prior success in building a new book of business.
  • A problem solver who simplifies complex issues.
  • Competitive nature with a collaborative team spirit.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and minimum liability insurance as required by law.

Nice to Have

  • Google AdWords and Analytics certifications.
