About the Role

The Digital Sales Analyst at MGA Entertainment is responsible for utilizing analytical tools, POS, and consumer data to maximize online sales performance, specifically on Amazon US. The role involves interpreting data, generating insights, and providing actionable recommendations to improve digital sales strategies. MGA Entertainment is a leading toy and entertainment company with a diverse portfolio of brands and a global presence, committed to creating innovative consumer products and entertainment properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate and provide recommendations on emerging POS trends, potential in stock issues, risks to achieving results, and performance against established KPIs for Amazon.
  • Review replenishment order trends and weekly fill rates and determine if they match the rate of sale.
  • Work with sales and supply chain to identify item availability issues and report on risks to forecast achievement due to constraints including fill rates and inventory availability.
  • Own accurate POS reporting and compare to Amazon's POS forecast.
  • Maintain MGA item level forecast ladders.
  • Analyze MGA POS projections versus Amazon's actual POS and publish weekly POS recaps with recommendations.
  • Evaluate business results including catalog, traffic, and advertising data, and analyze the effectiveness of digital sales campaigns.
  • Develop ad hoc reports to support forecast reviews, operations, and executive needs.
  • Create reporting processes to improve visibility around new product performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Identify deltas to sales goals through analysis and partner with sales and demand teams to impact trends.
  • Monitor Amazon vendor portal regularly, compare orders to forecasts, and ensure POS forecasts align with trends.
  • Work closely with sales and demand planning to provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Provide recommendations for optimizing digital sales strategies, including pricing, promotions, product placement, and SEO.
  • Partner with the sales team to support the delivery of the annual sales plan.
  • Develop relationships with Amazon Replenishment Team and communicate weekly.
  • Participate in weekly paid search meetings to optimize campaigns and evaluate their impact.
  • Collaborate with media, sales, brand, and creative teams to optimize brand stores and digital marketing efforts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital sales and inform teams of opportunities and changes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in sales analysis, specifically in the ecommerce space.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, analytics, or a similar field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Amazon Vendor Central, Amazon Advertising, and other data platforms.
  • Experience working across digital sales channels, including e-commerce, SEO strategies, and online advertising.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and translate it into concise business cases and opportunities.
  • Knowledge of Amazon business systems and procedures.
  • Experience developing sales reporting and dashboards.
  • Analytical ability to translate complex data into concise business reports.
  • Ability to assist in forecasting processes using historical POS trends.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to maintain high service levels across cross-functional teams.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range of $110,000 to $140,000 per year.
