About the Role

The Director, Digital Marketing, is a strategic and executional leader responsible for driving measurable business growth through performance-driven digital campaigns and engagement. This role leads the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies across digital touchpoints, including paid and owned media, with a focus on lead generation, customer acquisition, brand awareness, and retention. The position involves overseeing cross-functional planning, agency partnerships, and digital ecosystem design while ensuring all initiatives are aligned with business objectives, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partners with Marketing Directors, and product marketing, to own the digital marketing strategy across all channels including paid search, display, social, SEO, email, and website, ensuring a cohesive customer journey that drives awareness and conversions across HCP and DTC audiences.
  • Leads strategic media planning and channel mix optimization by evaluating customer insights, market trends, audience segmentation, and business goals.
  • Designs audience strategies using 1st- and 3rd-party data to improve targeting, personalization, and media efficiency across programmatic, search, and social platforms.
  • Plans strategies to drive prospective customers through the marketing funnel to create demand and lead generation.
  • Provides subject matter expertise around digital ecosystem design, including best practices around paid media, social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and website conversion.
  • Stays up to date on the evolving digital marketing landscape, including data/privacy regulations, technology advancements, and AdTech platform changes.
  • Defines and prioritizes campaign creative asset development for ongoing paid media content refreshers and optimizations with a cross-functional marketing team (designer, copywriter, etc.) to be in alignment with brand goals, performance metrics, and priorities.
  • Fosters strong agency relationships, defining scope of work, KPIs, and deliverables to ensure accountability and alignment with business priorities.
  • Measures and reports on digital marketing KPIs, leading regular performance reviews to surface insights, drive campaign optimizations, and refine strategy.
  • Champions a test-and-learn mindset, managing A/B testing frameworks and data-driven decision-making across all campaigns.
  • Ensures compliance with company and healthcare industry advertising and marketing policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related experience in digital or media marketing, and product marketing or omnichannel marketing.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in a leadership role with visibility to senior management.
  • Expertise in digital performance marketing, media planning, and campaign strategy.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing tactics, including paid media, social media, SEO/SEM, and the technology platforms that enable them.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proven ability to communicate new ideas to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Visual storytelling skills to visualize campaign strategies and performance metrics using charts, diagrams, and data modeling.
  • Robust analytical skills to evaluate digital marketing performance and identify the key insights that will yield actionable improvements.
  • Experience in healthcare or regulated industries strongly preferred, including marketing to both HCP and DTC audiences.

  • Experience educating and interacting with patients, physicians, and other clinical customers.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in business, health sciences, or related field or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
