About the Role

The Director- Brand Culture Marketing at L'Oréal will lead brand communication, PR, and strategic culture and entertainment marketing opportunities for NYX Professional Makeup across various categories including entertainment, VIP talent, sports, and music. The role involves creating and managing cultural programs, campaigns, and co-marketing opportunities, driving brand visibility and reputation in the U.S. market through storytelling and industry partnerships. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop culturally relevant opportunities and maintain strong relationships with talent and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing a vision and framework for NYX PM to execute culturally relevant opportunities and campaigns adjacent to beauty.
  • Execute PR strategies for the US, highlighting the brand, digital innovation, launches, etc.
  • Draft press releases, talking points, and other communication materials.
  • Oversee VIP talent and partner outreach and negotiation; guide the brand into new partners and platforms across entertainment, sports, and music.
  • Serve as a point of contact for PR, culture, and talent, agencies, and facilitate workflow across teams and stakeholders.
  • Work with internal and external social media teams to identify new opportunities and discover relevant content and brand opportunities.
  • Maintain expert understanding of the entertainment landscape, industry trends, and pop culture.
  • Leverage industry trends to develop strategic recommendations, programs, and campaigns.
  • Track brand culture activations and share best practices and learnings.
  • Vet and lead the implementation of entertainment and cultural pilots, co-creating new opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with talent agents, managers, publicists, and cultivate new external partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Must have a true passion and understanding of pop culture.
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, entertainment marketing, public relations, advertising agency, or talent agency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize trends and insights into partnership strategies.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and focused on project execution and evaluation.
  • Ability to interact and present to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with a positive, collaborative approach.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop, is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in marketing or entertainment industries.
