About the Role

The Director, Brand Marketing at Kate Spade York, part of Tapestry, Inc., is a strategic leader responsible for building, managing, and enhancing the brand's relevance and marketing efforts. The role involves developing and implementing brand strategies, managing campaign performance, and collaborating across teams to ensure cohesive brand storytelling and impactful campaigns. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global hero campaign development, ensuring creative concepts are on-brand, impactful, and relevant to the target consumer and platforms
  • Cultivate partnerships with industry partners and thought leaders to stay up to date with consumer trends
  • Translate brand heritage and values into culturally relevant and emotionally resonant storytelling across multiple campaigns
  • Provide clear and detailed briefs to external agencies, outlining campaign objectives, target demographics, and key messaging, while ensuring global brand vision and positioning remain consistent
  • Collaborate with merchandising and local marketing teams to ensure hero product alignment and meet commercial objectives for each campaign
  • Manage the creative process internally to bring the hero campaign to life across all touchpoints including social assets, emails, websites, stores, and events
  • Orchestrate global campaign launches with a spike and sustain strategy, partnering with markets, PR/VIP, Influencers, Digital, Retail, Licensing, and external partners
  • Plan and monitor key milestones to ensure timely delivery of marketing deliverables
  • Track and analyze campaign performance in-market, including social listening, to identify learnings and propose improvements
  • Lead agile interventions and amplification plans to sustain brand heat during campaign in-market

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant working experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong retail business acumen
  • Curious nature and in-touch with culture and what shapes it
  • Mix of data-driven analytic experience and gut creative instincts
  • High action orientation and problem solving capabilities
  • Strong negotiating skills, excellent communication, and relationship building skills
  • Partnership oriented with experience working in a matrixed organization and extensive network of external agencies

Nice to Have

  • Experience in global brand marketing and campaign development
  • Ability to translate brand heritage into culturally relevant storytelling
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and external agencies

Qualifications

  • Relevant professional experience of 10+ years or equivalent education and experience
