About the Role

The Director, Digital Marketing & eCommerce at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts is responsible for leading the strategy, performance, and optimization of the organization's online sales and customer experience. The role involves blending digital marketing, technology, merchandising, data analysis, and ticketing operations to drive revenue and customer satisfaction through digital channels. It ensures seamless integration across platforms and channels, with accountability for digital performance, system integrity, and data-driven decision-making. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role suited for a data-driven leader who can turn digital complexity into actionable solutions and supports all digital communication across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead digital marketing strategy and ensure best practices and compliance across all owned digital platforms.
  • Oversee digital analytics platforms to interpret traffic patterns, engagement metrics, and drop-off points to identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, IT, and Ticketing Services to support sales, audience development, personalization, and lifecycle management.
  • Develop and maintain real-time dashboards and reports to inform internal stakeholders and guide strategic planning.
  • Partner with paid media team to ensure alignment between paid and organic efforts.
  • Ensure tight integration between eCommerce and performance marketing campaigns.
  • Track attribution and influence of marketing on online sales performance.
  • Mentor and lead a high-performing digital marketing team, providing regular performance updates and professional development.
  • Oversee development, content management, and optimization of the website to ensure a seamless, intuitive, and conversion-focused customer journey.
  • Guide UX/UI enhancements, A/B testing, personalization, and navigation improvements.
  • Partner with developers or external vendors to prioritize feature roadmaps and functionality updates.
  • Monitor sales performance, user behavior, and site health metrics, providing regular reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee planning, creation, and execution of all email and SMS campaigns, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Leverage customer segmentation and behavioral data for personalization, tailored product recommendations, remarketing, offers, and content.
  • Report on the digital marketing team's accomplishments and participate in departmental planning.
  • Contribute to departmental budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • Manage and supervise the digital marketing team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Maintain operational policies, support organizational culture, and ensure excellent customer service standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in business, marketing, or related field is preferred.
  • 8+ years' experience in the marketing field, including leading a successful marketing-driven business model.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • 5+ years experience with Prospect2, Salesforce, HubSpot.
  • 5+ years' experience with HTML, Tessitura (or any ticketing platform), Twillio, SEMRush, Google Analytics, GA4, and complex CMS platforms.
  • Experience in marketing automation, user journeys, and lifecycle campaign management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments.
  • Experience in the performing arts, entertainment, or ticketed events industry is preferred.
