About the Role

The Director, Lifecycle Marketing, Regional Engagement at Crunchyroll is a leadership role responsible for overseeing regional title marketing strategies across EMEA, US, LatAm, and APAC. The role involves translating global content priorities into localized campaigns that resonate culturally, driving fan engagement and content viewership. The position reports to the VP, Retention & Engagement and involves leading regional teams, collaborating with global and regional stakeholders, and ensuring culturally relevant marketing communications to maximize impact in diverse markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and rollout of regional title marketing strategies that align with Crunchyroll's global content priorities, ensuring campaigns are localized and amplified across regions.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of Regional Managers covering EMEA, US, LatAm, and APAC, fostering a collaborative environment and providing strategic guidance.
  • Analyze regional performance metrics related to content consumption, viewer engagement, and fan sentiment to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
  • Serve as the main liaison between global content, product, brand, performance marketing, and regional teams to foster cross-team collaboration and clarity of execution.
  • Work with content strategy teams to understand upcoming titles, identify regional content preferences, and adapt marketing approaches accordingly.
  • Guide regional teams in ensuring all title marketing communications are culturally relevant, linguistically accurate, and emotionally resonant.
  • Collaborate on and oversee regional budget allocations for title marketing, ensuring efficient spending and maximizing investment value.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and marketing technologies to foster continuous improvement and innovation within regional teams.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in marketing leadership roles, focusing on content, title, or entertainment marketing within a global context.
  • 8+ years of experience leading regional or global teams, with a proven track record of developing talent and promoting high-achieving teams.
  • Industry experience in streaming, entertainment, or digital media.
  • Experience in global-to-local marketing strategy, adapting campaigns for diverse international markets such as EMEA, US, LatAm, and APAC.
  • Expertise in transforming complex data into strategic insights to guide impactful decisions across multiple regional markets.
  • Ability to engage, influence, and unify executives across departments and regions, balancing global priorities with regional nuances.
  • A genuine interest in anime, entertainment, or fan-focused brands to promote authentic engagement.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of regional cultural sensitivities and localization practices.
