Job Description

About the Role

The Director, Marketing Analytics & Insights will be responsible for leading market research and business analysis activities for assigned pharmaceutical brands or therapeutic areas. This role is instrumental in guiding strategic decisions through insights, supporting marketing planning, and ensuring effective data integration across projects. The position is a 6-month contract with potential extension, remote-based in the U.S., requiring work during Eastern Time Zone hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify current and long-term market research needs aligned with brand strategy
  • Develop comprehensive market research plans using appropriate qualitative and quantitative methodologies
  • Design, execute, and analyze market research studies; deliver clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations
  • Serve as subject matter expert on brand-specific market insights and historical data
  • Leverage syndicated and secondary data sources for performance measurement and strategic analysis
  • Compile and present comprehensive insights stories from diverse data sets
  • Collaborate with internal Analytics & Insights teams to address cross-functional analytical needs
  • Manage external vendors, ensuring compliance with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and data integrity
  • Coordinate cross-functional planning sessions; influence brand strategy with data-driven recommendations
  • Maintain strict adherence to budget and internal approval processes for market research activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a large corporate pharmaceutical marketing environment, specifically focused on market research
  • Demonstrated expertise in supporting pharmaceutical brand marketing research
  • Deep knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and ethical standards in pharma research and data protection
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Proven ability to synthesize insights across multiple data streams and deliver clear business recommendations
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to lead without authority
  • Must be able to start immediately and work during Eastern Time Zone business hours
  • U.S. candidates only

Nice to Have

  • Experience in cardiology or primary care (cardiac and/or diabetic conditions)

  • Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred)
