About the Role

The Director, Performance Measurement will be tasked with creating and executing a performance measurement framework that is visualized and disseminated across the Marketing & Growth Organization to operationalize best practices and successes. This role will also be responsible for evaluating current reporting infrastructure and external measurement partners, determining report and partner effectiveness. The Director will establish a recurring reporting and presentation cadence within the organization, communicating marketing performance and data-driven insights in close coordination with campaign, product, and channel analytics teams. By standardizing performance measurement methods and centralizing reporting cross-functionally, the role aims to provide transparency and accountability into strategy and planning, infusing data-driven efficiency into all marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Standing up a performance measurement function within Marketing operations to provide transparency into MGO activities and distill campaign efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Creating and executing a measurement framework to evaluate all marketing activities, rooted in KPIs and marketing objectives.
  • Developing a standardized reporting methodology to measure performance across marketing channels, investment allocations, campaign spend, and MGO team processes.
  • Partnering with key MGO and agency stakeholders to standardize and create synergy among all data and analytics initiatives and serve as the source of truth for marketing data.
  • Partnering with the Marketing Technology team to shape MGO's data strategy, providing input on data governance, integration, infrastructure, scalability, and agility.
  • Evaluating current reporting infrastructure and outputs for MGO from internal and external partners and determining which reports to stop, start, or continue.
  • Designing reporting dashboards to visualize performance results in a digestible format for an executive audience.
  • Partnering with Marketing Operations to establish a recurring read-out cadence with segment marketers and other key executives, reviewing campaign performance and KPI performance compared to forecast.
  • Developing a process for teams to request new dashboards and outputs from Performance Measurement.
  • Communicating findings and insights to relevant MGO stakeholders as a trusted subject matter expert.
  • Partnering with Research, Analytics, and Measurement to provide channel and media mix optimizations on a post-campaign basis to drive high ROI.
  • Collaborating with external measurement partners to deliver detailed and effective measurement, seeking opportunities to innovate and utilize new technologies and industry practices.

Requirements

  • Experience managing large, complex data sets and distilling actionable insights for an executive audience.
  • Strong data visualization skills with experience building dashboards (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Deep knowledge of media and advertising and a passion for driving change through data and analytics.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with in-house external measurement partners, analyzing inputs, and adapting to reporting methods.
  • Ability to collaborate with non-direct reports and work within matrixed organizations.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to stand up new functions and transform ways of working across an enterprise.

Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing analytics, measurement, or related fields.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Strong understanding of media, advertising, and marketing performance metrics.
