About the Role

The Director, Performance Measurement will be responsible for creating and executing a performance measurement framework within AT&T's Marketing & Growth Organization. This role involves evaluating reporting infrastructure, establishing a recurring reporting cadence, and communicating marketing performance and data-driven insights to support strategy, transparency, and efficiency. The position requires office presence in Dallas, TX or El Segundo, CA, and is focused on operationalizing best practices in marketing measurement to drive data-driven decision making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Standing up a performance measurement function within Marketing operations to provide transparency into MGO activities and distill campaign efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Creating and executing a measurement framework to evaluate all marketing activities, rooted in KPIs and marketing objectives.
  • Developing a standardized reporting methodology to measure performance across marketing channels, investment allocations, campaign spend, and MGO team processes.
  • Partnering with key MGO and agency stakeholders to standardize and create synergy among all data and analytics initiatives, serving as the source of truth for marketing data.
  • Partnering with the Marketing Technology team to shape MGO's data strategy, providing input on data governance, integration, infrastructure, scalability, and agility.
  • Evaluating current reporting infrastructure and outputs for MGO from internal and external partners and determining which reports to stop, start, or continue.
  • Designing reporting dashboards to visualize performance results for an executive audience.
  • Establishing a recurring read-out cadence with segment marketers and key executives to review campaign and KPI performance.
  • Developing a process for teams to request new dashboards and outputs from Performance Measurement.
  • Communicating findings and insights to relevant MGO stakeholders as a trusted subject matter expert.
  • Partnering with Research, Analytics, and Measurement teams to optimize media mix and drive high ROI on marketing investments.
  • Collaborating with external measurement partners to deliver detailed and effective measurement, seeking opportunities to innovate with new technologies and industry practices.

Requirements

  • Experience managing large, complex data sets and distilling actionable insights for an executive audience.
  • Strong data visualization skills with experience building dashboards (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Deep knowledge of media and advertising, with a passion for driving change through data and analytics.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with external measurement partners and analyzing their inputs.
  • Ability to collaborate within matrixed organizations and influence non-direct reports.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to establish new functions and transform ways of working across an enterprise.

Nice to Have

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience in marketing analytics, data management, or performance measurement roles.
