About the Role

The Director, MarTech Capabilities - Content & Asset Management at Humana is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the content ecosystem, ensuring effective content management, delivery, and measurement across channels. The role involves leading platform strategy, governance, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration to support personalized and compliant marketing efforts that enhance member engagement and health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of product managers focused on content management, digital asset management (DAM), creative production, and content hosting capabilities.
  • Champion the dual-hat model—ensuring team members act as both product managers and embedded practitioners within agile pods.
  • Drive performance and development across the team, aligning capability growth with enterprise goals.
  • Own the vision, roadmap, and governance for content and asset management capabilities, ensuring alignment with marketing and personalization strategies.
  • Lead the evolution of the content platform ecosystem to support modular, reusable, and omnichannel content delivery.
  • Guide platform architecture decisions and capability development in partnership with IT, technical platform teams, and enterprise architecture.
  • Manage the migration and sunset of legacy content systems with minimal disruption.
  • Establish and promote best practices for metadata, tagging, version control, and rights management.
  • Define content templates and asset workflows in partnership with brand, creative, and operations teams.
  • Explore and enable AI/ML-powered capabilities for automated tagging, content reuse, personalization, and performance optimization.
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, IT, creative, compliance, and external vendors to ensure cohesive platform delivery.
  • Monitor platform performance, identify optimization opportunities, and influence roadmap decisions.
  • Ensure platform governance and compliance with data standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish performance metrics and reporting frameworks to measure content utilization and impact.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement in tools, processes, and practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Communications, or related field, or relevant work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in content operations, digital asset management, or marketing technology.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams and managing enterprise content platforms.
  • Experience managing platforms such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe GenStudio, AEM Assets (DAM), AEM Sites, Bit.ly, Figma, and Salesforce CMS, Experience Cloud, DAM integrations.
  • Strong understanding of content governance, compliance, accessibility standards, and metadata frameworks.
  • Familiarity with agile product development and scaled agile frameworks.
  • Strong strategic thinking, technical acumen, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Master's Degree or certification in MarTech, content strategy, or digital experience.
  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, insurance, financial services).
  • Experience implementing modular content strategies or headless CMS architectures.
  • Background in personalization, content tagging, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems and managing platform transitions.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, and technology investments.
  • Experience with AI/ML applications in content operations, such as automated tagging, personalization engines, or GenAI-assisted content creation and optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Communications, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in relevant fields.
