About the Role

Lead a team of digital ad experts and contribute to campaigns that drive positive change in the world. Manage and mentor staff while overseeing the development and implementation of paid media strategies across clients ranging from nonprofits to advocacy groups to political campaigns. Shape agency offerings, scale operations, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to create impactful campaigns for causes and organizations committed to social change. Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and standardize agency offerings across capabilities such as fundraising, mobilization, campaigns, and customer engagement.
  • Scale the agency's operations through new talent, infrastructure, and platforms/partners.
  • Set expectations with media and project teams regarding deliverables, quality, and skill requirements.
  • Guide clients in building out their organization and programs for sustainable growth.
  • Oversee a portfolio of key partners, ensuring program performance and client satisfaction.
  • Lead business development efforts, shape responses to client challenges, drive upsell opportunities, and differentiate the agency.
  • Identify new markets and experiment with new approaches for paid media services, including integrating TV with digital.
  • Oversee, mentor, and train staff to ensure high-quality media program execution.
  • Identify processes, templates, and tools to improve team efficiency and output.
  • Foster collaboration between Media Teams and other departments such as Strategy, Design, Video, Creative/Content, and Analytics.
  • Build team culture and camaraderie.
  • Be a role model and inspire others to do their best work.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in digital media and advertising.
  • Expert understanding of paid media technology including paid social, SEM, DSPs, DMPs, ad servers, and verification tools (e.g., Facebook, Google Ads, DCM, Yahoo DSP, DoubleVerify, LiveRamp).
  • Experience managing paid media programs for acquisition, awareness, and persuasion campaigns.
  • Familiarity with political campaign media goals; experience managing multi-million dollar media budgets is desired.
  • Experience managing a media team of planners and buyers.
  • Knowledge of emerging media platforms such as TikTok, CTV/OTT, podcasts, and more.
  • Experience with digital research tools like Global Web Index and Statista.
  • Strong understanding of audience segmentation strategies.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform campaign strategies and optimize performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.
  • Hands-on experience developing and reporting on metrics and KPIs for campaigns and process improvements.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Adaptability, problem-solving skills, teamwork, and resourcefulness.
  • Strong collaborator and relationship builder.
  • Passion for making change, comfort with ambiguity, and a commitment to quality.
  • Empathy, respect, and ability to act as a role model.

  • Experience with managing paid media programs for political campaigns.
  • Experience with digital research tools such as Global Web Index and Statista.
  • Knowledge of integrating TV with digital media approaches.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in digital media and advertising.
