About the Role

Upwardly Global is a data-driven, innovative organization dedicated to supporting immigrant and refugee professionals in transitioning to quality, thriving-wage careers through customized coaching and comprehensive integration into the US job market. Operating out of four major US markets and providing remote services, the organization values a diverse and inclusive culture where every voice matters. The Director of Digital Marketing will lead digital engagement efforts to promote the organization's mission and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee digital marketing strategy to maximize audience engagement and action across social media, email marketing, website content (including SEO and landing pages), and paid ad campaigns for job seeker recruitment, fundraising, and brand awareness.
  • Develop and maintain content strategy ensuring brand consistency across channels, in partnership with the Director of Communications.
  • Implement digital campaigns, including influencer and user-generated content strategies, and manage a creative, multichannel storytelling approach involving graphic design, photography, and video content.
  • Evaluate and adapt channels based on organizational needs and digital trends.
  • Co-lead the development and use of audience personas and write, edit, and commission creative content such as ad copy, website content, blog posts, and emails.
  • Manage social media toolkits for external partners and develop co-marketing campaigns with corporate and institutional partners.
  • Champion staff-generated UGC to promote the brand and expertise.
  • Work with the in-house products team to market and promote products and services.
  • Oversee content development and maintain a content calendar.
  • Manage relationships with external digital marketing agencies and determine team staffing needs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet organizational goals through marketing tactics.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of two staff and external consultants.
  • Track and analyze marketing metrics with the Director of Communications to measure effectiveness and refine strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in digital marketing, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven experience managing six-figure-plus ad campaigns on Meta, LinkedIn, and Google.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing email acquisition and drip campaigns for multiple segments.
  • Experience creating and running online fundraising campaigns; peer-to-peer fundraising experience is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills to handle multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Pardot, and Salesforce; familiarity with Sprout, Classy, and WordPress or similar platforms.
  • Ability to travel regionally and nationally up to 10% and work evening events occasionally.
