About the Role

The Director of Marketing is responsible for directing the development, production, and implementation of all marketing strategies and related projects aligned with the property's revenue and marketing objectives. This role involves partnering with senior leadership to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans, overseeing internal and external communications, managing marketing teams, and ensuring brand integrity across all channels within a luxury hospitality environment at The Ritz-Carlton, part of Marriott International.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops overarching marketing strategy including marketing plans and property email strategy to align with business priorities in consultation with General Managers.
  • Oversees execution of all marketing initiatives, projects, and collateral production to ensure sales and marketing objectives are achieved and revenue opportunities are maximized.
  • Cultivates partnership and active participation in demand generation strategy development.
  • Reconciles marketing plan monthly with accruals and forecasts in conjunction with the Director of Finance.
  • Leads repositioning efforts in partnership with Area Team, GM, and hotel executive team.
  • Serves as the hotel(s) brand guardian and liaison, verifying all marketing reflects brand voice.
  • Partners with Revenue Management to develop and execute promotional strategies.
  • Supports group lead generation efforts.
  • Manages internal and external partners to verify deliverables support hotel strategy.
  • Develops and sets the annual digital marketing plan and overarching partnership strategies to maximize hotel revenue.
  • Manages OTA strategy in collaboration with Revenue Management through monthly reviews.
  • Monitors and provides recommendations for SEO and updates as needed.
  • Creates and maintains content assets such as photoshoots for various channels.
  • Maintains active engagement with Area Directors of Marketing to communicate recommendations and digital trends.
  • Sets public relations strategy, manages PR agency or messaging, and measures campaign success.
  • Manages direct reports, conducts performance appraisals, and handles employee onboarding and disciplinary actions.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Sales, or related major, with 2 years' experience in Hospitality Sales, Spa Sales, or a comparable area, OR
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or related major, with 1 year experience in Hospitality Sales, Spa Sales, or a comparable area.
  • Experience in developing and executing marketing strategies within a hospitality or luxury brand environment.
  • Strong partnership and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and articulate campaign performance and digital metrics.
  • Leadership experience managing marketing teams and external partners.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with digital marketing tools and SEO strategies.
  • Experience managing public relations campaigns and agencies.
  • Familiarity with hotel revenue management and OTA strategies.

Qualifications

  • Educational qualifications as specified in requirements.
  • Proven experience in hospitality marketing or related fields.
