The role of Director of Marketing - Brain Therapies involves managing the division's US Brain Therapies Marketing function, including developing marketing objectives, policies, programs, and overseeing strategic and operational plans to support business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the division's US Brain Therapies Marketing function, including establishing and developing marketing objectives, policies, and programs.
  • Direct and coordinate marketing activities to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Partner with the US Brain Therapies Sales Division to determine business plans and priorities.
  • Develop divisional strategic and operating plans.
  • Drive and oversee global communications strategies and execution, including launches, advertising, and social media campaigns.
  • Establish marketing project priorities and allocate resources and workload.
  • Ensure appropriate training and education for personnel involved in the use of the Abbott Brand for the EP portfolio.
  • Liaise with other departments such as Quality, R&D, Legal, Operations, Marketing, and Clinical Affairs for division-wide initiatives.
  • Supervise and develop staff, including hiring, retaining, and providing ongoing performance feedback.
  • Prepare and manage the annual department budget.
  • Set goals aligned with department plans and manage their execution through coaching and mentoring.
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, and operating procedures.
  • Maintain positive communication and collaboration with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of related work experience.
  • Extensive experience with strategic marketing.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, including goal setting and providing constructive feedback.
  • Effective communication skills at multiple organizational levels.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%.
  • Strong interpersonal, people management, analytical, and project management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model.
  • Professional Marketing Certification.

Qualifications

  • Educational background with a Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field.

Benefits & Perks

  • Base pay range of $147,300.00 - $294,700.00, with variation depending on location.
