About the Role

The Director of Marketing (Horseshoe Bossier) is responsible for developing and implementing strategic and annual business plans for Marketing and Player Development. The role involves managing the execution of these plans to achieve revenue and profit targets, ensuring performance standards in customer service, operating procedures, regulatory compliance, productivity, and budget management within a casino environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares annual business plans that identify revenue potential by key market segments and describes casino marketing programs, player development activities, junkets, and special events to attain revenue goals.
  • Controls expenses to achieve acceptable return on invested expenses and complimentary services.
  • Identifies strengths, opportunities, and threats to the plan, making adjustments to leverage strengths and minimize threats.
  • Hires and manages staff for Marketing, Player Development, Junket Programs, and Casino Hosts.
  • Develops personal relationships with premium players and manages staff to develop relationships with VIP customers across all markets and sister properties.
  • Works closely with hotel yield team to ensure VIP segments are properly yielded to promote hotel visitation.
  • Collaborates with Special Events and Direct Mail teams to maximize VIP visitation.
  • Develops and maintains a customer database for premium players and coordinates programs with marketing systems.
  • Analyzes customer data and financial results to determine effective promotions and maintains competitiveness within the market.
  • Forms relationships with VIP customer base and delegates tasks appropriately.
  • Conducts employee performance reviews, handles grievances, and manages staffing activities including training, cross-training, and career development.
  • Monitors legal compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws.
  • Responds calmly in crisis situations involving customers or employees.

Requirements

  • College degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years' experience in the gaming industry.
  • Three (3) years managerial or supervisory experience in Marketing or Player Development for a casino with significant revenue from destination or high-frequency markets.
  • Proven track record in growing and increasing profitability of high-end customers.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in resolving customer complaints.
  • Ability to manage multiple objectives and tasks simultaneously.
  • Leadership skills to guide a team of Casino Hosts to achieve financial and productivity goals.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Flexibility to work any day of the week and any shift.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with hotel yield teams and VIP segmentation.
  • Experience with customer database management and marketing systems.

Qualifications

  • College degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
