Job Description

About the Role

Stryker Emergency Care is seeking a dynamic leader to drive our marketing new product development devices and acquisition/partnership activity in the emergency care space. This includes the community, law enforcement/government/military, EMS/Fire, and hospital segments. The product portfolio includes capital medical equipment, accessories, disposables, and data platforms that connect to and support our products, including both Stryker owned programs and third-party integrations. The role is responsible for a global team and involves defining and executing marketing strategies, developing customer value propositions, and collaborating across functions to grow the portfolio and market share.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defines and executes marketing strategy and new product development processes to achieve divisional revenue growth and goals within allocated budget.
  • Develops and recommends strategic plans and initiatives to gain greater market share, improved revenue, and increased penetration.
  • Evaluates market data, trending, and sales data to ensure appropriate strategies and modify marketing plans.
  • Assesses potential markets to provide insight and input into new product development projects, M&A, and divestiture decisions.
  • Develops customer-focused value propositions to create engagement and loyalty for future products.
  • Provides advice and counsel to senior business leaders about strategic opportunities to grow the portfolio and financial results.
  • Cultivates key customer relationships with healthcare providers, KOLs, and the field sales organization to gain market insight, drive NPD feature sets, and improve clinical practice.
  • Builds strong relationships with cross-functional groups (RAQA, Finance, GQO, Legal, R&D, etc.).
  • Communicates and collaborates with other Portfolio Marketing leaders to share best practices and coordinate initiatives.
  • Develops and grows portfolio managers and individual contributors, contributing to Emergency Care Marketing as a talent destination.
  • Focuses on key NPD pipeline and product roadmap, ensuring projects run on-time and on-budget, and aligns priorities between PMO, R&D, and Marketing.
  • Collaborates closely with downstream marketing, education, and leadership to implement strategies.
  • Manages a globally located team, building a culture of accountability, performance, and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 10 years of experience in sales, sales training, and management.
  • 4 years of experience directly managing a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Persuasive communication skills in the absence of organizational authority.
  • Ability to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies.
  • Light work capacity: may exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently or constantly.
  • Coordination of eye, hand, and foot movement, with cognitive demands including visual and auditory discrimination, reading, and memory retention.
