Job Description

About the Role

Goodwill of Western and Northern CT is looking for a motivated, ambitious, analytical, and strong team player to help manage their successful and growing E-Commerce department. The Assistant Manager supervises the E-Collectibles staff to ensure that all production and sales goals are met. This role involves overseeing daily operations, team management, customer service, inventory control, and ensuring product quality and compliance within the E-Commerce platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees day-to-day operations of E-Commerce.
  • Gives work direction to E-Commerce team members.
  • Communicates team and individual goals to meet or exceed daily production goals.
  • Ensures team is aware of goals and accomplishments.
  • Assists E-Commerce Manager in answering customer inquiries and educates team members on areas to improve.
  • Monitors supply orders to achieve E-Commerce sales goals.
  • Authenticates items that require certificates and assists on training employees to operate programs.
  • Identifies above average collectibles to create listings designed to generate maximum revenue.
  • Opens and/or closes E-Commerce area.
  • Communicates with the stores to ensure product quality and quantity.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Troubleshoots problem orders and resolves customer complaints in a timely fashion for Shopgoodwill website.
  • Ensures inventory shelves are current on the website and purges recycled items.
  • Pulls and prepares items for shipment.
  • Follows all agency policies and procedures.
  • Promotes and demonstrates cooperation and teamwork.
  • Assists and shares knowledge and information with other employees as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of the internet, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Highly knowledgeable about jewelry, gems, and precious metals.
  • Past experience in E-Commerce is strongly preferred.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend and reach.
  • Must be able to lift over 40 pounds.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in E-Commerce.
