About the Role

A leading organization in the beauty and personal care industry is seeking a Freelance Ecommerce Consultant to drive excellence in online merchandising, content management, and digital operations for its prestige brand portfolio. This role will be instrumental in supporting daily E-commerce activities and strategic initiatives, ensuring seamless site experiences and contributing to the execution of the digital roadmap. The consultant will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including brand stakeholders, IT, analytics, and external vendors, to optimize the online shopping journey.

Key Responsibilities

Execute e-merchandising strategies aligned with business calendars to enhance product catalogs, navigation, on-site search, assortment layouts, site content, and promotion
Manage daily site merchandising and content updates using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), coordinating with brand E-commerce teams for promotional activations
Project manage front-end HTML updates, online merchandising tasks, and QA processes for both routine operations and major site projects such as redesigns or new feature launches
Oversee end-to-end promotion execution from setup through testing and deployment to ensure a seamless customer experience
Lead seasonal site executions including holiday configurations, quality assurance workflows, and high-traffic events like Cyber Week
Analyze site performance metrics to refine merchandising approaches and drive continuous improvement in engagement and conversion
Partner with Analytics teams to ensure proper tagging implementation and optimize reporting efficiency using tools such as Google DataStudio
Support A/B testing initiatives in alignment with broader site activity and analyze post-launch results to provide actionable recommendations

Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered
5-7 years of E-commerce experience with demonstrated expertise in online merchandising, web analytics, and user experience principles
Hands-on proficiency with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) for merchandising execution
Experience managing digital projects, implementing site enhancements, and driving optimization initiatives
Familiarity with ticketing systems such as JIRA and data visualization platforms like Google DataStudio
Keen analytical abilities—able to interpret site data, generate actionable reports, and translate insights into strategic improvements
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of the beauty market is a plus
