About the Role

The role of Engineer Quality is based in New York, NY, and involves manual testing and quality assurance for Android applications. The position requires hands-on experience with testing tools and methodologies to ensure high-quality software releases, collaborating with development and product teams to maintain standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Perform manual testing of Android applications and system components.
Use ADB (Android Debug Bridge) commands for testing, debugging, and log collection.
Validate UI and system behavior in Android RRO (Runtime Resource Overlay) environments.
Utilize Charles Proxy to capture and analyze network traffic for debugging and validation.
Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases based on requirements and technical specifications.
Report, track, and manage defects using JIRA, ensuring clear documentation and timely resolution.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure high-quality releases.
Participate in regular test planning, status reporting, and reviews.
Maintain detailed test documentation, test results, and traceability matrices.

Requirements

6-8 years of experience in manual testing and quality assurance.
Strong hands-on experience with Android testing using ADB.
Experience with Android RRO (Runtime Resource Overlay).
Proficiency with Charles Proxy for network validation.
Experience with JIRA for test and defect tracking.
Proven ability to design and execute manual test cases from functional and technical requirements.
Strong understanding of SDLC and QA best practices.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
