Executive Director, Enterprise Automation and Innovation

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Set the vision and strategy for enterprise automation within the Pharmacy Services organization and represent the Automation organization at a strategic level.
• Drive the end-to-end incubation process to promote hyper-automation, from idea generation to market launch.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, data analytics, and RPA evolution, and assess their application to the business.
• Oversee budget generation, including software licensing, bot chargeback models, and capital budgets, ensuring financial adherence.
• Manage procurement, finance matters, and collaborate with project management and finance teams for project reporting and costing.
• Lead, manage, and mentor teams of software engineers, business analysts, and automation experts, ensuring high performance and quality.
• Ensure proper maintenance and capacity planning of automation platforms to support current and future use cases.
• Act as technical oversight for vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and supplier payments related to RPA services and products.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and measure ROI of the RPA COE, leveraging data and analytics.

Requirements

• Strong demonstrable experience working with AI/ML, RPA, GenAI, or automation technologies.
• Strong understanding of Automation platforms and capabilities, specifically including UiPath and/or Automation Anywhere.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience leading high-performing teams of 25-50 technical personnel, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
• Ability to develop and execute a multi-year strategic vision with measurable goals.
• Deep understanding of emerging AI technologies and their application to healthcare.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Experience with lean startup methodologies and agile development practices.
• Experience setting and managing operational and capital budgets, including procurement processes.
• Excellent contract negotiation skills for managing vendors and labor.
• Effective communication skills for conveying strategic and tactical objectives.
• Strong problem-solving and analytics skills for technical and functional solutions.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with process mapping/mining tools, low-code/no-code platforms.
• Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM), Retail Pharmacy, and/or Healthcare experience.
• Certifications in related automation platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred (MBA, MS in a related field).

Benefits & Perks

• Pay range from $175,100.00 to $334,750.00.
