About the Role

Creative makeup artists bring our Fright Fest characters to life! Your skills in this special position will contribute to storytelling, show spectacle, and of course, the screams from our Guests! Be prepared to show pictures of previous work at your interview. Supporting the Six Flags Mantra - Friendly, Clean, Fast, and Safe Service, you will understand and execute make-up and special effects designs as directed, learning the various roles in our Haunted Attractions, Midway Haunts, and Shows to ensure proper makeup application.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the Six Flags Mantra - Friendly, Clean, Fast, and Safe Service
Understanding and executing make-up and special effects designs as directed
Learning the various roles in our Haunted Attractions, Midway Haunts, and our Shows so proper makeup design can be applied
Demonstrating best scaring abilities, including a zombie walk
Bringing creativity and a sense of fun to the role

Requirements

Previous experience in makeup application required
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety
Ability to interact in a professional and positive manner
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently with little supervision
Sense of fun & creativity
Friendly, outgoing personality, and ability to address guest concerns
Ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language
Willing to work in a high-performance team environment
Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Able to meet the physical demands of the job, including walking long distances, standing for long periods, lifting, working at heights, etc.
Must be 18 years old or older
Able to communicate effectively in the English language

Nice to Have

Portfolio of previous work to demonstrate makeup skills
Ability to demonstrate scaring abilities during audition/interview

Qualifications

Must be 18 years old or older
Legal documentation establishing identity and employment eligibility in the United States
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
No use of illegal or social drugs (excluding marijuana) within the last 90 days
