Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and expansion of a centralized Quality Engineering (QE) Centre of Excellence (CoE), ensuring quality and performance standards across all platforms and products, including end-user environments.
  • Oversee the adoption of modern testing methodologies for software, hardware, and network components, ensuring rigorous quality control across the entire technology stack, including cloud-native solutions.
  • Drive initiatives to introduce automated QA processes and establish formal QA frameworks for CI/CD pipelines, automating end-to-end testing and managing structured QA cycles for security updates, patches, and system upgrades.
  • Establish a robust performance engineering strategy, integrating advanced tools for application performance monitoring, observability, and telemetry, focusing on early identification of performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with product, development, QA chapters, and operations teams to improve quality processes across multiple business units and ensure seamless integration into product development and delivery pipelines.
  • Lead and mentor a team of QA Engineering chapters and engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Ensure quality assurance initiatives prioritize customer satisfaction and system reliability, using data-driven approaches and feedback mechanisms.
  • Build and mentor high-performing QA Engineering teams with a client-focused mindset, including QA Chapter Leads across IT and functional areas.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 15 years of in-depth experience in Quality Assurance Engineering and Performance Engineering, with at least 5 years in strategic leadership managing QA teams and processes.
  • Proven track record in using Generative AI in Quality Assurance Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in implementing and managing automated and on-demand testing environments, frameworks, and automation solutions, including designing automated test scripts for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid expertise in performance and chaos engineering tools (e.g., Neoload, JMeter, LoadRunner, Gremlin, Chaos Monkey) and security testing tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite).
  • Experience integrating performance and security testing into DevSecOps workflows for continuous testing and quality monitoring.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and testing within environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures.
  • Experience testing hardware such as mobile devices, laptops, network devices, and end-user environments in large-scale enterprises.
  • Senior-level ability to guide, mentor, and develop diverse teams, fostering innovation and agility.
  • Strong communication skills to align stakeholders around QA strategies and initiatives.
  • Vendor management and financial budget management experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in guiding large change initiatives and managing tech competency resourcing and vendors.
  • Knowledge of emerging disruptive technologies and their impact on QA and performance engineering.
  • Experience working with Agile, DevSecOps, and integrating QA practices into development lifecycles.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Performance Engineering.
  • At least 5 years in a strategic leadership role managing QA teams and processes.
