About the Role

The Global Product Marketing Manager for GPG Insulation & Components at Hitachi Energy is responsible for leading strategic marketing and sales initiatives within the Transformers Business Unit. The role involves supporting the growth of transformer insulation and component products used worldwide by OEMs and end customers, contributing to innovation and expansion in the energy transition sector. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment focused on sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic marketing and sales efforts for Transformer Insulation & Components, aligning with GPG/BU strategy.
  • Contribute to market-driven business strategy definition and translate mid-long term strategies into concrete marketing and sales actions, initiatives, and programs with appropriate segmentation and go-to-market approaches.
  • Oversee the implementation of marketing and sales strategies, including boost programs, market coverage, and product-line sales plans by product, geography, segment, and accounts.
  • Ensure sales training, competencies, processes, and tools are in place to drive customer service levels and customer experience.
  • Define, develop, and deploy transformational growth initiatives in marketing and sales, including digitalization efforts.
  • Drive homologation efforts, account coverage, and proactive positioning of the product portfolio.
  • Design and deploy marketing and sales campaigns across channels such as Salesforce, social media, tradeshows, and exhibitions.
  • Regularly review market and technology trends and act as an interface between external market insights and internal functions.
  • Build internal and external relationships to exchange news, best practices, and success stories.
  • Enhance organizational capability to manage key accounts, multi-year supply agreements, and respond to customer requirements efficiently.

Requirements

  • University degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; additional business degree is a plus.
  • Industry knowledge about component business, industrial goods, relevant business models, and demand drivers.
  • More than 7 years of experience in Electrification, Transformers, Sales & Marketing, or Product Management in an international/global environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and external partnerships.
  • Creative, result-oriented, and self-driven business leader with strong analytical, reasoning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent influencing, relationship, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Capability to translate customer needs into commercial and portfolio activities.
  • Work experience in different countries and cultures.
  • Willingness to travel 10-30% of the time.

  • Additional business degree beyond engineering.
