The Head of Marketing and Innovation is a significant leadership role responsible for shaping business direction, driving growth strategies, leading innovation, and fostering a consumer-obsessed culture within the business unit. Key Responsibilities

  • Have a high share of voice in the Business Unit's overall direction and results, and work to build, refine, and integrate business plan choices across all functions, including growth and fulfillment.
  • Lead the Business Unit's growth aspiration, alignment, and execution by obsessing about consumer behaviors and needs, uniting cross-functional teams, developing brand growth strategies, allocating resources, and leading innovation initiatives.
  • Create and execute holistic marketing strategies that drive consumer and customer engagement, including an integrated 'One Demand Plan' over an 18-month horizon, bringing the brand story to life across digital and physical touchpoints.
  • Develop people and build an effective brand organization, fostering an inclusive culture, strengthening leadership skills, and developing a high-performing team of demand creators.
  • Lead and participate in marketing capability and community development by leveraging company scale, driving training, technology enablement, and enterprise projects.
  • Keep Clorox, the BU, and the Studio on the cutting edge of CPG by demonstrating curiosity, continuous learning, and driving transformation related to growth, brand building, and best practices.
  • Advance Clorox's culture of brand and consumer obsession by ensuring marketing initiatives uphold brand integrity and resonate with consumer needs, inspiring organization-wide prioritization of consumer-centric approaches.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding business objectives with potential for General Manager accountability.
  • Ability to influence leadership and advance ideas for strategic recommendations to GM.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making, forecasting, and building business cases.
  • Deep understanding of consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and translating ambiguous data into actionable strategies.
  • Experience with agile or lean development tools and generating innovative ideas that meet consumer needs.
  • Knowledge of business drivers and the ability to stay attuned to industry changes to align activities with organizational goals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and adapt work to meet commitments, and to balance multiple stakeholder needs.
  • Strong collaboration skills, fostering partnerships and encouraging team diversity and feedback.
  • Focus on continuous process improvement, performance measurement, and accountability.

  • Fluency in data and technology tools relevant to marketing and growth initiatives.
