The Global Marketing function is focused on supporting the strategic and revenue growth priorities of the Bank. The role involves leading the marketing strategy in the US, managing the US marketing team, supporting global initiatives, and working across asset management propositions and products to support HSBC's growth and brand development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the marketing strategy in the US and the global product marketing strategy for XB capabilities/products manufactured in the US.
  • Manage the US marketing team and support global marketing initiatives and projects.
  • Translate business opportunities into marketing strategies by integrating consumer insights, data, and business opportunities.
  • Work across stakeholders including Marketing, Analytics, Insights, Products, Propositions, Compliance, Legal, PR, and Agencies.
  • Develop strategies related to acquisition, engagement, brand development, and customer experience for institutional and wholesale customer segments.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams across countries/regions to align with global business ambitions.
  • Solve problems creatively while maintaining focus on business objectives.
  • Work in a 'test and learn' environment, focusing on adding incremental value and building a fast learning culture.
  • Understand the financial services industry and revenue drivers across products and propositions.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on customer and business impact and plan implementation accordingly.

Requirements

  • Post Graduate / Degree level qualification in business studies and marketing preferred.
  • Broad-based business experience, ideally within the Asset Management industry.
  • Experience in developing multi-channel campaigns, including research, proposition development, and delivery.
  • Proven experience in digital content management and customer communications in a regulatory environment.
  • Experience working with teams across multiple sites.
  • Strong understanding of customer insights and their role in communications and product development.
  • Ability to think innovatively and communicate new concepts.
  • Experience managing agencies and driving value from resources.
  • Strong project management skills and basic knowledge of digital marketing.
  • Experience working in a country marketing/business team within Asset Management.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with scale agile implementations and collaboration tools such as Monday, Confluence, Jira, and Slack.

Qualifications

  • Post Graduate / Degree in business studies and marketing (preferred).
