Insurance Employee Benefits Account Executive

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage book of business, including policy quotes and acting as the carrier liaison for assigned clients or groups.
• Interact regularly with new and existing clients to devise creative solutions for coverage and costs.
• Guide clients and internal team members on compliance and regulatory policies to meet industry standards.
• Provide monthly claim reports from carriers to clients and oversee wellness strategies and programs.
• Review open enrollment processes, ensure proper changes, and support financial and annual reviews for benefits costs.
• Support clients with renewal and insurance communication, including webinars and tutorials for proper launch strategies.
• Assist with escalated client issues and collaborate with the claims department when necessary.
• Partner with the legal team to communicate regulatory changes and serve as the liaison on policy or industry mandates.
• Request and monitor census reports, complete underwriting questionnaires, and communicate with carriers and clients.
• Meet regularly with brokers to stay updated on industry standards, insurance products, rates, and policies.
• Develop relationships with producers, underwriters, and brokers, and attend marketing strategy meetings.
• Manage RFPs, non-renewals, and cancellations to retain business and act as the lead for an assigned book of business.
• Guide clients through decision-making processes, assist with escalated claims, and develop multi-year strategic plans.
• Prepare and present renewal proposals, coordinate with marketing, and manage renewal negotiations.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of related work experience in insurance or benefits management.
• Valid insurance license and ongoing compliance with Continuing Education requirements.
• Strong follow-up, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Comfortable with on-site presence to support collaboration and team leadership.
