About the Role

The Intern - ACC Network at Boston College supports the department in maintaining and creating high-level ACC Network content. The role involves assisting with video, audio, and graphic representation during athletic events, supporting video projects, and maintaining digital media assets. This internship provides practical experience in sports media operations within a university athletic department, with a focus on game day control room activities, content creation, and equipment support.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the operation of the video and audio control rooms during athletic events.
Support video and audio needs for Olympic sport home events.
Maintain a digital video and audio asset library.
Assist in the execution of video projects and initiatives.
Provide video and audio content to meet internal and external requests.
Support video and audio services for university functions and events in Alumni Stadium and Conte Forum.
Assist with game day control room operation, video content creation, and equipment maintenance.
Perform light filming duties and basic editing of film.
Create basic graphics and support audio needs during events.
Perform basic camera work (HD/SD), editing, and audio troubleshooting.
Move equipment and assist with equipment setup and maintenance.
Ensure all duties are performed in compliance with NCAA, ACC, and institutional rules.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
At least 6 months of experience or undergraduate involvement in intercollegiate athletics, preferably at an NCAA Division I institution.
Strong desire to pursue a career in sports management and/or sports administration.
Experience with Adobe Premiere Video Editing for at least 6 months.
Experience with athletic video camera work for at least 6 months.
Experience with Adobe Photoshop and After Effects for at least 6 months.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and early mornings as required for athletic events.
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
Experience with digital asset metadata tagging and familiarity with servers (especially Sonnet).
Willingness to learn Ross Carbonite switcher and Daktronics in-game systems and technologies.
Experience with filming on various cameras and basic troubleshooting skills.
Strong documentation skills and ability to foster working relationships across departments.

Nice to Have

Experience in a video control room.
Experience with Daktronics in-game systems and technologies.

Qualifications

Educational background includes at least a Bachelor's Degree; a Master's Degree is preferred.
