Job Description

About the Role

The Hyperscaler Team is seeking a Senior IP Architect to drive technical engagements with Hyperscaler customers. The role involves owning all technical aspects of an account, contributing to industry-changing technologies and projects, and working closely with industry-leading Hyperscaler Customers. The candidate will collaborate with Nokia product development organizations and be part of a highly talented and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Account teams and Business Units to develop and execute technical account strategies
  • Develop close technical working relationships with Customers and effectively promote solutions offered by Nokia
  • Provide Business Unit feedback on Customer requirements to guide product direction and solutions alignment with customer business and network priorities
  • Develop deep understanding of Customer's business and applications
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to Sales teams
  • Drive and manage RFI, RFP, Demos, POC, NPI, test plan creation, and network design
  • Develop tailored customer validation and simulation environments

Requirements

  • At least 10 years in various engineering roles and 5 years in customer-facing roles
  • Experience with Linux, Scripting, and DevOps Development
  • Expert knowledge of switching and routing protocols
  • Expert knowledge of WAN, Data Center Fabric, and Data Center Interconnect architectures
  • Competence in the competitive vendor landscape
  • Driven, self-motivated, and a 'take-ownership' attitude
  • Exceptional customer-facing skills
  • Good listening, verbal, written, presentation, and project management skills
  • Ability to learn, adapt, and deliver quickly under pressure from many stakeholders
  • Ability to work hands-on in laboratory environments, both in customer labs and Nokia labs
  • B.S. Degree in Computer Networking or similar or equivalent experience (preferred)

Nice to Have

  • Optical and Wide Area Networking knowledge
  • Experience with Open Source Network Operating Systems
