About the Role

The Java Automation Software Engineer role involves testing and automation of mobile browsers and native applications, utilizing various mobile development tools and cloud platforms. The position is within JPMorgan Chase's Consumer & Community Banking Group, supporting the development of innovative mobile applications and digital banking solutions to serve a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of test scenarios and execute them across all testing phases including IST, Smoke, Functional, Integration, UAT, In-Sprint Automation, Regression Automation, and Production.
  • Implement and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines using Jenkins and CI/CD practices.
  • Perform API testing using tools like JMeter.
  • Lead test automation teams and coordinate testing efforts across multiple environments.
  • Work with web technologies such as HTTP, XML, REST, and HTML.
  • Ensure accessibility testing compliance for web and mobile native applications.
  • Utilize mobile development and emulator packages (Android SDK, iOS XCode, SWIFT, Calabash, Appium, GENYmotion).
  • Use mobile cloud platforms such as SeeTest, Perfecto, Experitest-SeeTest, MobileLabs, SauceLabs for testing.
  • Collaborate with global teams and operate effectively in a multi-task, multi-priority environment.
  • Communicate findings clearly and demonstrate strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years' experience with Mobile Browser and Mobile Native Application Testing.
  • Proven experience with mobile development and emulator packages (Android SDK, iOS XCode, SWIFT, Calabash, Appium, GENYmotion).
  • Experience with mobile cloud platforms such as SeeTest, Perfecto, Experitest-SeeTest, MobileLabs, SauceLabs.
  • Experience with accessibility testing (ADA testing for Web/Mobile Native Apps).
  • Exposure to web technologies including HTTP, XML, REST, and HTML.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing using JMeter.
  • Experience in implementing continuous integration and delivery pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead test automation teams.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of Application Development Lifecycle and concepts.
  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent experience.
