Laboratory IT Project Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans that outline tasks, timelines, resources, and dependencies specific to Lab IT initiatives.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams-including lab scientists, IT specialists, data managers, and vendors-to establish project objectives and deliverables.
• Monitor progress, address bottlenecks, and adjust schedules to ensure timely project completion.
• Manage the project budget, allocating resources efficiently and forecasting future needs based on evolving project scope.
• Utilise project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) as appropriate for the technical and operational context.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of scientific workflows, laboratory instruments, and data management requirements.
• Tailor IT solutions to support research, diagnostics, and quality control functions in compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Laboratory Sciences, or related technical field.
• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Scrum Master) are highly desirable.
• Extensive experience in managing Lab IT projects, including LIMS, ELN, instrument integration, and data analytics platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and validation processes.
• Adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality and compliance.
