About the Role

Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team of IT professionals in a permanent role. Key Responsibilities

Documentation and execution of test scenarios, including identifying specific scenarios and writing test scripts using Business Driven Development such as Gherkin.
Utilization of test automation tools to enable efficient and timely end-to-end test execution.
Testing planning, creation, and execution based on project requirements.
Applying Agile methodology skills in testing processes.
Knowledge of Selenium, BDD Cucumber, and Gherkin.
Coordination with QA and UAT leads for end-to-end testing of production-like flows.
Monitoring and reporting of testing defects and managing the re-testing process.
Validation and presentation of test results for internal sign-off.
Contributing to project/team meetings with timely updates and stakeholder communication.
Providing updates on SCRUM calls and demo walkthroughs to operations post signoff.
Learning and working with evolving methodologies within Agile project delivery.

Requirements

Expert level experience with Java, Cucumber BDD, and Selenium.
Experience with test automation tools to enable efficient end-to-end testing.
Testing planning, creation, and execution experience.
Knowledge of Agile methodology.
Understanding of Selenium, BDD Cucumber, and Gherkin.
Ability to liaise effectively between lines of business with empathy and understanding.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice to Have

Experience in testing processes to define requirements, document user stories, and test scripts.
Ability to provide updates during SCRUM calls and demo walkthroughs.
Experience working with evolving methodologies in Agile project delivery.

Qualifications

Experience with automation framework enhancement skills.
Previous experience of automated testing.
