About the Role

The Manager, Platform Operations, is responsible for managing and developing a team of professionals in support of the TMUS In-House Media Team as a user of the T-Ads Advertising Platform. Leading a cross-functional team, this role is responsive to TMUS as their primary client while developing and implementing overall best practices for platform operations across multiple clients. This role has a deep understanding of the T-Ads advertising stack and supports the team in executing the overall T-Ads vision. As part of the Media Monetization Strategy & Success organization, they work collaboratively across the organization to achieve the best outcomes through execution excellence and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, and support a cross-functional operations team focused on supporting the TMUS In-House Digital Media team in their self-service use of the T-Ads advertising stack. Be a core member of the team in executing an overall Joint Business Plan between T-Ads and TMUS In-House Media.
  • Lead by example, supporting the TMUS team in their planning, execution, and reporting of advertising strategies and campaigns, with the goal of increased platform usage.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and best practices to ensure scalable support can be provided to a self-service client of the T-Ads Ad stack.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for the team and provide strategies and direction for challenging executions.
  • Ensure team members stay up to date on industry trends and occurrences by curating and disseminating industry news, summations, and opinions to the team.
  • Serve as a member of the Media Operations Leadership team to develop overall strategic direction and management of cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ensure adequate coverage for all business initiatives, support through team member PTO, and maintain appropriate communication with business partners during this time.
  • Responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing, STEM (Required)
  • 7-10 years Ad Operations experience in a publisher or an advertising agency (Required)
  • 2-4 years People management experience (Required)
  • Strategic Thinking Capable of analyzing results and providing strategic plans to drive business growth (Required)
  • Effective communication skills to facilitate T-Ads goals in an external environment (Required)
  • People Management experience to lead the team towards the business goals (Required)
  • Knowledge of the advertising industry as well as opinions and projections for its future (Required)
  • At least one relevant certification such as DMP, SSP, DSPs, Google Ad Manager, The Trade Desk programmatic ads, etc. (Required)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Digital marketing experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing, STEM
  • 7-10 years of Ad Operations experience
  • 2-4 years of People management experience
  • Relevant industry certifications
