About the Role

The HCA Healthcare Manager Automation is responsible for driving the execution and delivery of high value enterprise automation solutions, evaluating, selecting, implementing, and supporting automation technology and platforms. This role involves developing, coordinating, and implementing automation strategies to support business goals within the healthcare industry, with a focus on improving processes and supporting the enterprise development community. The position emphasizes leadership, innovation, and collaboration within a purpose-driven organization committed to patient care and community service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive execution of the automation projects and technology within and across business unit engagements
  • Drive adoption of the company automation strategy and simplification processes
  • Maintain a working knowledge of automation goals related to the supported business lines
  • Develop and maintain internal and external IT support systems for automation
  • Create, implement, and maintain a continuous improvement plan for automation development
  • Provide enterprise consultation on automation best practices and development
  • Engage in Process Improvement/Re-Engineering for automation development
  • Bring innovative ideas to solve complex technology problems
  • Develop and execute training and certification programs for automation platforms
  • Maintain and monitor standards for automation platform use
  • Manage costs and expenditures related to automation technology and platforms
  • Build and maintain relationships with business lines, ITG teams, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Provide after-hours management on-call support and oversee escalated issues
  • Participate in major events and large problem efforts involving multiple divisions and vendors

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred
  • Seven or more years of relevant work experience
  • Three or more years of management experience
  • Five or more years in information Technology
  • One or more years experience in healthcare preferred
  • One or more years of experience in process improvement
  • Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare information systems and applicable systems
  • Experience with Agile teams, architectural principles, and microservices architecture
  • Ability to manage complex projects, vendor relationships, and navigate a highly matrixed organization
  • Willingness to take appropriate risks and remove barriers to enable team success

Nice to Have

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Experience in partnering with internal and external technology resources
  • Knowledge of industry technology language development trends
  • Experience with resource models such as managed services and staff augmentation
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and architecture principles

Qualifications
