Job Description

About the Role

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for driving online sales using various marketing channels and tools and providing an exceptional online experience. The manager oversees and leads efforts for the website, email marketing, social media platforms, mobile app, blog, digital signage, as well as other digital platforms and channels in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the value generated for our customers by our products and translate this understanding into differentiated online positioning, marketing, and sales strategies as well as online channel development.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, direction, instruction, and assistance to assigned Marketing team members.
  • Set performance goals for assigned digital Marketing staff and continually provide feedback regarding actual performance in comparison to targets.
  • Provide guidance to correct off target behavior and initiate disciplinary action when appropriate.
  • Plan and assist in developing job growth opportunities for marketing team members that also strengthen the Marketing function.
  • Responsible for day-to-day online marketing operations, support for online sales activities, and defining and executing a digital marketing plan to achieve marketing goals.
  • Collaborate with digital marketing firm on campaign strategies and measurement/attribution; use data and insights to optimize campaign spend and performance.
  • Work with Marketing, Product Development, Sales, IT, and Service Delivery and Operations to maintain a consistent brand experience across customer touch points.
  • Focus on brand health and customer satisfaction as enablers of profitable growth.
  • Create an extraordinary online customer experience at every touch point to make it a strategic differentiator.
  • Drive increasing market share in targeted segments and manage the marketing funnel to maximize sales.
  • Provide regular, concise, market intelligence to ensure continued market leadership.
  • Engage productively with sales channels to promote profitable growth.
  • Interface with product management to drive positioning, competitive intelligence, and differentiation.

Requirements

  • Maintain a customer-centric mindset, advocating for customer needs and managing relationships proactively.
  • Understand and improve customer experience business processes and related sales, billing, and support metrics.
  • Maintain a broad understanding of telecom and IT technologies and trends relevant to customers.
  • Manage a department-level revenue and expense budget, plan and forecast financials, and develop business cases for initiatives.
  • Demonstrate execution discipline, meet commitments, and produce results.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver detailed plans and proposals.
  • Develop creative solutions to complex problems using critical thinking and reasoning.
  • Promote lean process improvement and eliminate waste through Lean PI principles.
  • Bachelor's degree (additional advanced education preferred, such as an MBA).
  • Minimum of six (6) years of marketing, sales, product management, or business experience in a comparable industry, with at least two (2) years of supervisory experience (for Manager level).
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience with four (4) years of supervisory experience (for Sr. Manager level).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Experience creating strategic online marketing programs, drip campaigns, social media campaigns, and customer acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Knowledge of analytic platforms and measurement of campaign results.
  • Thorough understanding of digital marketing technology landscape and online customer experience improvements.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with A/B testing, landing page development, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Proven track record of accomplishments in digital marketing strategy and online customer experience improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (additional advanced education such as an MBA preferred).
