Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the role of Manager, Software QA Engineering in Monroeville, PA, to design, develop, and manage software test programs for quality assurance, lead QA initiatives, support enterprise testing, collaborate on software design reviews, analyze user needs, develop testing programs across various testing types, leverage test automation and QA engineering approaches, document defects, support all SDLC phases, validate testing results, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor QA teams, and contribute to performance reviews and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage software test programs for quality assurance to identify software problems and root causes.
  • Lead key strategic small to medium size QA initiatives and develop testing programs to drive adoption of test automation and other QA engineering technologies.
  • Support enterprise end-to-end testing and participate in software design reviews for QA engineering professionals.
  • Analyze user needs and develop software testing to meet business requirements.
  • Develop testing programs that address functional testing, system testing, manual testing, regression testing, mobile testing, application testing, performance testing, usability testing, system integration, and data migration.
  • Leverage test automation, model-based testing, and other QA engineering approaches to ensure rapid time to market and efficient QA delivery.
  • Document application defect triage and report defects using bug tracking systems.
  • Support all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and validate testing results for compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business, BA, Development, PMO, and delivery stakeholders to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Support and mentor Software QA Engineering teams including QA Managers, Analysts, and Automation Engineers to ensure high-quality application deliveries.
  • Provide input on performance reviews, goal setting, expectations, development plans, and priorities for team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles.
  • Experience with JIRA, Rally, or Confluence.
  • Proficiency in SAS or SQL.
  • Experience in software testing, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and test automation including scripting.
  • Experience performing API application testing.
  • Partnering with leadership to drive adoption of QA technologies such as BDD, TDD, QA test automation, RPA, and model-based testing.
  • Experience working with distributed cross-functional and cross-organizational teams.
  • Experience conducting performance reviews and working on team goal setting and development.
  • Domain support experience in healthcare or retail organization.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
  • Experience supporting healthcare or retail domains.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in a related field.
  • Five years of relevant postbaccalaureate experience.
