About the Role

The Marketing and Community Care Director at Chick-fil-A is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, managing community engagement initiatives, and leading catering growth efforts. This role involves creating marketing plans, managing social media, supporting community organizations, and fostering customer relationships, all within a positive, team-oriented environment that emphasizes leadership development and community impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating a strategic marketing plan (annual, quarterly, monthly) with SMART goals, deadlines, and action steps.
  • Delivering core marketing messages, engaging target audiences, and reporting metrics.
  • Creating and managing a marketing calendar for upcoming marketing events.
  • Innovating techniques to increase transactions, including suggestive up-selling, cross-selling, and encouraging app usage.
  • Analyzing social media audiences, creating and distributing content, monitoring online activity, managing the online community, and measuring social media performance.
  • Growing catering sales through social media, B2B marketing, and in-store marketing.
  • Facilitating and participating in in-store events and offsite marketing initiatives.
  • Maintaining and growing the brand image through social media, digital coupons, and other marketing strategies.
  • Developing and maintaining a marketing budget to effectively grow transactions.
  • Supporting community and team care initiatives by working with local organizations and schools, and fostering a culture of care and volunteerism.
  • Leading Chick-fil-A New Bern Avenue catering growth through business-to-business engagement and community relations.
  • Managing day-to-day catering activities, including order fulfillment, customer follow-up, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Driving customer relationships and account management for catering clients.
  • Creating strategies to attract new catering customers, such as offering samples and hosting in-store catering events.
  • Ensuring a seamless catering experience across online, phone, and fulfillment channels.

Requirements

  • Positive self-starter with an upbeat, persistent style and the ability to cold call or visit local businesses without fear of rejection.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and present ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, or Associate's Degree if actively pursuing a Bachelor's.
  • At least 1 year of marketing experience.
  • Proficiency in Canva or similar platforms.
  • Experience in social media posting.
  • Passion for caring for the community.

Nice to Have

  • Restaurant experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (or actively pursuing one), or Associate's Degree
  • 1+ years marketing experience
