About the Role

The Sr. Director, Marketing- Business Solutions at Astound holds ultimate responsibility for the strategic marketing activities and revenue goals of the Astound Business Solutions group. The role involves developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive business growth, strengthen market position, and increase SMB subscribers. The position requires collaboration with corporate marketing, local systems, and SMB teams, and involves leading a high-performing marketing team in a supportive work environment with a robust benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategy for Commercial Services that align with business objectives, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, revenue growth and market expansion
  • Represent Commercial Services on brand strategy development
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Create and execute internal and external marketing communication strategies for Commercial Services consistent with overall corporate style and approach
  • Develop the marketing strategy for new and existing products
  • Oversee implementation of marketing campaigns through market research, including campaigns, events, digital/social marketing, direct marketing, public relations, branding, content creation, promotions, and product launches
  • Manage and analyze marketing campaign data to optimize performance
  • Support sales regions by providing tools, materials, and presentations to meet commercial objectives
  • Develop Go-To-Market strategies for products, solutions, and Commercial Services
  • Manage marketing budget to ensure efficient resource allocation
  • Collaborate with product management to define marketing strategies and materials
  • Develop and support marketing plans for partner, carrier/wholesale, GEMS, and Cell Backhaul teams
  • Enhance customer relationship management and develop customer journey processes
  • Oversee social media presence and programs to improve reputation and recognition
  • Analyze competitive environment and business trends continuously
  • Maintain knowledge of marketing trends and best practices, applying learnings to campaigns
  • Create initiatives to drive activity and revenue
  • Strategize market positioning and recommend new tactics, channels, and vendor partnerships
  • Manage outside vendors and event support as needed
  • Create sales enablement programs and campaigns to educate the sales force
  • Drive awareness of Commercial Services in the market and within the company

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, preferably in B2B
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role within the telecommunications industry
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive business growth
  • Experience in direct marketing utilizing behavior modeling for targeted segmentation and offers
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing including paid and organic media, content creation, and brand management
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to lead and inspire a diverse team
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM systems
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work productively
  • Strong writing, proof-reading, and creative production skills
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn industry and company products
  • Excellent presentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience in B2B marketing within the telecommunications industry
  • Experience with vendor management and event support
  • Knowledge of customer journey development and CRM systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience
