About the Role

The Sr. Director, Marketing- Business Solutions at Astound holds ultimate responsibility for the strategic marketing activities and revenue goals of the Astound Business Solutions group. The role involves developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive business growth, strengthen the company's position in the telecommunications industry, and serve as a liaison to the Corporate Marketing team. The position also includes interfacing with local systems and SMB teams to increase subscribers and market presence, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategy for Commercial Services that align with business objectives, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, revenue growth, and market expansion.
  • Represent Commercial Services on brand strategy development.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Create and execute internal and external marketing communication strategies for Commercial Services consistent with overall corporate style and approach.
  • Develop the marketing strategy for new and existing products.
  • Oversee implementation of marketing campaigns by conducting thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, including campaigns, events, digital/social marketing, direct marketing, public relations, branding, content strategy and creation, promotions/offers/pricing, and product launches.
  • Manage and maintain business analytics for marketing campaigns and adjust plans based on findings to optimize performance.
  • Support sales regions by providing tools, materials, and presentations to meet their commercial objectives.
  • Guide the day-to-day activities of the marketing team and ensure objectives are met.
  • Develop Go-To-Market strategies for products, solutions, and Commercial Services as a whole.
  • Manage the marketing budget to ensure efficient resource allocation and maximize ROI.
  • Work closely with the product management team to define marketing strategies, materials, and programs.
  • Develop and support marketing plans for partner, carrier/wholesale, GEMS, and Cell Backhaul teams.
  • Enhance customer relationship management and develop customer journey processes.
  • Oversee social media presence and direct programs to improve reputation and recognition.
  • Analyze the competitive environment and business trends continuously.
  • Maintain knowledge of evolving marketing trends and best practices, applying learnings to campaigns.
  • Develop strategies to drive connections and revenue, including standalone initiatives.
  • Strategize projects to establish market positioning and recommend new tactics, channels, and vendor partnerships.
  • Manage outside vendors and event support as needed.
  • Create sales enablement programs, campaigns, and initiatives to educate the sales force on products, market landscape, buyer personas, and sales skills.
  • Drive awareness of Commercial Services in the market and within the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, preferably in B2B, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the telecommunications industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive business growth.
  • Experience in direct marketing utilizing behavior modeling to drive sales through segmentation, offers, and positioning.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing including paid and organic media, content creation, and brand management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to lead and inspire a diverse marketing team.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM systems.
  • Highly productive with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated competency in writing, proof-reading, and creative production.
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn and understand the industry and company products.
  • Excellent presentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience with at least 5 years in leadership within telecommunications
