About the Role

The Marketing and Social Impact Director leads the strategic development and execution of comprehensive marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and business growth. This role oversees all marketing activities, manages marketing team members, and ensures alignment between marketing strategies and organizational objectives. The position involves working collaboratively with executive leadership, developing marketing plans and budgets, and maintaining the organization's community reputation. The role reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the board and other stakeholders to support the mission of YWCA El Paso del Norte Region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Lead strategic planning sessions, conduct market analysis, and establish marketing vision and direction for the organization.
  • Lead the development of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, traditional, and experiential channels.
  • Oversee campaign execution, ensure brand consistency, and approve all major marketing materials and messaging.
  • Maintain brand standards and guidelines, ensure consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints, and develop brand positioning strategies.
  • Direct digital marketing efforts including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email campaigns, marketing automation, and PPC Ads.
  • Oversee website optimization, conversion rate improvement, and digital customer experience.
  • Recruit, hire, and manage marketing team members, providing leadership, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Establish marketing KPIs and success metrics, analyze campaign performance and ROI, and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Maintain media relationships, coordinate media buys, write press releases, and coordinate with officials for events.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, and analyze customer insights to inform strategies.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and strategic partners, and represent the organization at industry events.
  • Evaluate and implement marketing technology stack, establish workflows, and present performance reports to leadership.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating promotional, community, fundraising, and other marketing events.
  • Manage marketing budgets, track expenses, process invoices, and procure marketing materials.
  • Monitor and update the agency website, ensure compliance with branding standards, and maintain records of marketing activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required with emphasis in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
  • Seven to ten years of progressive marketing or communications experience.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive measurable business growth and ROI.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, marketing automation, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing technology stack, including Google Analytics, HubSpot, Marketo, and social media management tools.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong writing and editing skills in English; Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally at all levels.
  • Organized and flexible, capable of managing multiple assignments in a busy environment.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and Zoom.
  • Must have a vehicle with liability insurance and a valid driver's license.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.

Nice to Have

  • Spanish reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
  • Seven to ten years of relevant experience.
