About the Role

At PitchBook, the Marketing Automation Administrator plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the Marketo platform to drive lead generation, nurture campaigns, and overall marketing effectiveness. This position supports the Marketing Platform team within Marketing Operations, working closely with cross-functional partners including marketing, sales, IT, and analytics to ensure seamless integrations, high data integrity, and innovative automation that fuel business growth. The role offers an opportunity to impact marketing technology in a fast-growing, innovative financial service organization and is integral to achieving the company's revenue and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize all aspects of the Marketo platform including campaign setup, forms, landing pages, email templates, and automation workflows to maximize efficiency and impact.
  • Design and maintain sophisticated lead scoring and lifecycle management models to ensure quality lead routing and alignment with sales processes.
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance by managing segmentation, deduplication, suppression lists, and governance policies within Marketo.
  • Develop and deliver insightful reports and dashboards on campaign performance, lead conversion, and ROI to support data-driven marketing decisions.
  • Collaborate with IT, CRM administrators (Salesforce), and third-party vendors to maintain seamless integrations, troubleshoot issues, and enhance system capabilities.
  • Lead integration efforts between marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), ensuring seamless data flow and synchronization to support attribution and pipeline management.
  • Provide ongoing training, documentation, and support to marketing and sales teams to maximize adoption and proficiency with Marketo tools and best practices.
  • Stay current on Marketo product updates, industry trends, and emerging marketing automation technologies to proactively recommend and implement enhancements.
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Marketo in a marketing or demand generation environment.
  • Marketo Certified Expert (MCE) or Marketo Certified Associate (MCA) preferred.
  • Strong technical skills in campaign building, automation workflows, forms, landing pages, and segmentation within Marketo.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, including knowledge of data integration and lead management best practices.
  • Proficient in marketing analytics and reporting tools, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with excellent project management skills.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator, able to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across teams.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Passionate about marketing technology and continuous learning.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data management and data quality management.
  • Knowledge of demand generation marketing and marketing campaign management.
  • Experience with marketing analytics tools and ROI reporting.
  • Familiarity with marketing cloud platforms beyond Marketo.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with Marketo in a marketing or demand generation environment.
