About the Role

The Marketing Content Lead at Summit Utilities, Inc. is a versatile and detail-oriented role responsible for crafting compelling copy for diverse marketing materials, managing social media platforms, and contributing to content strategy. The position involves collaborating with design teams, engaging with customers, maintaining brand voice, and supporting community building efforts. This hybrid role is based in Little Rock, AR, Fort Smith, AR, Portland, ME, or Augusta, ME, and plays a key part in enhancing the company's marketing initiatives and brand presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create compelling, engaging, and persuasive copy for various marketing materials, including websites, landing pages, emails, social media posts, and blog articles.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure the written content is effectively integrated into visual elements.
  • Develop, implement, and manage social media content across all platforms, maintaining a consistent brand voice and style.
  • Create and schedule social media posts, monitor engagement, and respond to customer comments and direct messages promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in crafting responses to customer inquiries, comments, and feedback on social media posts.
  • Collaborate with the team to assist in writing efforts for customer-facing print pieces, such as brochures, flyers, booklets, and bill inserts.
  • Contribute to the development of content strategies aligned with marketing goals and target audiences.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Coordinator to maintain the marketing content calendar, planning and scheduling content in coordination with campaigns and events.
  • Foster a sense of community among customers and external audiences through engaging content.
  • Uphold and refine the brand voice, ensuring consistency in all written materials, and train team members on brand voice guidelines.
  • Attend company events for real-time content creation, including live posts and updates.
  • Aid in content development protocols for handling potential crisis-related issues on social media and respond to sensitive issues or negative feedback.
  • Assist the Strategy and Content Manager in conducting training sessions on writing techniques, social media etiquette, and content strategy.
  • Work with team members to ensure alignment between written content and visual elements, supporting cross-functional collaboration.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to improve content strategies.
  • Proofread and edit content for accuracy, grammar, and consistency, ensuring high quality.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and delivering high-quality work under pressure.
  • Support various marketing tasks as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and team contribution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, advertising, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing content creation, copywriting, and social media management.
  • Proficiency in crafting compelling copy for websites, landing pages, emails, social media posts, and blog articles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with design teams to integrate content into visual elements.
  • Experience managing social media content, maintaining brand voice, and monitoring engagement.
  • Experience in customer engagement, responding positively and helpfully to inquiries and feedback on social media.
  • Strong background in writing for print materials such as brochures, flyers, and booklets.
  • Experience contributing to content strategies aligned with marketing goals and target audiences.
  • Ability to manage content calendars, plan, schedule, and coordinate content with campaigns and events.
  • Knowledge of crisis management protocols on social media.
  • Experience in conducting training sessions on writing techniques, social media etiquette, and content strategy.
  • Ability to ensure content alignment between written and visual elements through cross-functional collaboration.
